🏑 Kate Trolove Hockey Cup – Nelson 2026 🏑

What an incredible week of hockey for the team at the Kate Trolove Hockey Cup in Nelson!

The team started their pool games against Fiordland College, coming away with a fantastic 2–0 win. They then took on Waimea College, battling hard to finish with a 2–2 draw.

Their final pool game was against Buller, where the team put in another strong performance to come away with a 3–2 victory. These results put the team top of their pool and secured their place in the semi-finals.

In the semi-final, they faced Mackenzie College. Despite giving it their all, the team went down 4–0. While it wasn't the result they were hoping for, they bounced back ready to fight for a spot on the podium.

The team then faced Taieri College this morning in the 3rd/4th playoff. In a tight and exciting game, they managed to score the only goal of the match and held on to secure a fantastic 1–0 win! 🏑🙌

LAS students were team Italy at the year 5 & 6 world hockey tournament in Invercargill today. Big thanks to Warwick Howie for coaching the team.

Daffodil Day produced a wonderful field of yellow across our school. A huge thank you to our Student Council and senior pupils for organising some fantastic daffodil-themed crafts for the junior school.
