Thats a wrap on day 3. Another fantastic day full of hard fought competition and great sportsmanship. We came away with another gold medal this evening, another tick in the box. Well done to all of our athletes on a long day, the handled it effortlessly. We also had a 13th birthday for one of our girl so the whole camp sang her happy birthday at dinner. A big day with 11 semi finals tomorrow.....Lets go Wairau!!!!

Day 2 has come to an end. The kids have been on the go since 7.30am and have just finished up. We have had an awesome day, full of hard fought competition across all codes. A few sore muscles, but its great to have 2 parents with us this week who are both physios, so thats a win.
We have successfully locked up another 2 gold medals so a very successful 2nd day. There are some very tired but well fed kiddos this evening. Great day had by all.

Day 1 done and dusted. Great day by all of our athletes, competing in a variety of sports (more photos to come). We walked away with 3 golds by the end of the day. They all did so well.

We had a visit from Sunnynook Primary School Year 6 students this week. They experienced a day in our tech rooms learning new skills and had lots of fun. We hope to see many here in 2027.

We had a wonderful visit this week from Forrest Hill Primary School Year 6 students. They spent a day experiencing what it's like to be a Year 7 student in our technology rooms.

📌 In-Zone & Out-of-Zone Applications Welcome!

While in zone applications will be given priority, and despite exciting roll growth, we are in the position of being able to take out of zone applications for the 2027 school year.

Year 6 students from our contributing schools have been joining us for a day in the life of a Year 7 student. Each student will bring home a hard copy of our enrolment pack to assist you with our enrolment process. Packs are also available at the school office.

With all that Wairau has to offer we would like to take you and your child on this exciting journey with us. We look forward to seeing your child enrol at our school.

How wonderful it was to return to school this week and see our new shade canopy attached to Block 2.

A special thank you goes to Helen Whitcombe (Funding Connection), Lion Foundation, Aotearoa Gaming Trust, Milestone Foundation and New Zealand Community Trust for their generous funding contributions that brought this to fruition. This upgrade will ensure all students benefit while also providing a safe, usable space for our community.
