It’s not that your body forgot.
It’s that it waited.
Waited for you to feel safe enough
to say what you couldn’t.
To cry what you swallowed.
To shake, to soften, to let go.
That tightness in your chest when the phone rings.
The lump in your throat at a song you haven’t heard in years.
The tears that catch you off guard while folding laundry.
It’s not random.
It’s remembrance.
Let it come.
Let it move.
Let it finish.

Honestly… I didn’t even feel like being on my mat today.
But I showed up anyway.
And straight away, tight shoulders, heavy hips, all that tension I’ve been carrying - it was loud.
The breath helped.
The stillness helped.
Nothing fancy.
Just sitting with it.
Not trying to fix it.
Letting it be there.
Some days that’s the whole practice.

Somewhere along the way…
you learned how to disappear.
Not all at once.
Just quietly.
A soft retreat.
Edges tucked in.
Voice quieted.
Wildness… hidden.
But the parts of you that refuse to shrink?
The untamed, aching, beautiful mess of you?
That’s not the problem.
The spaces that demand you hide…
maybe they are.
You weren’t made to vanish.
You were made to be seen.

Let’s be clear.

I’m not here to glamorise pushing through.

This isn’t about ignoring pain or pretending I’m fine or stacking resilience like it’s a badge of honour.

I believe in feeling it.
All of it.
The mess, the ache, the days when everything feels too fu***ng heavy.
I believe in making space for the real stuff.
The raw stuff.
The stuff we’re told to hide.

But I also know this...
some days, strength looks like just getting out of bed.
Like making a cup of tea.
Like replying to one email when your whole world’s on fire.

Sometimes, strength is holding space for someone else’s pain while yours sits quietly in your chest, still unspoken.

Not because you’re disappearing yourself.
Not because you’re a people-pleaser.
But because being of service
makes you feel a little more human.
A little more whole.

That’s me.
My life doesn’t always look put together.
But when I teach, when I hold someone’s story, something shifts in me.
Something softens.
Because I know what it is to grieve.
To carry thoughts you’d never say out loud.
To feel like you’ve got a sign around your neck that says “damaged goods.”

But here’s what I’ve learned -
when I show up for you, I’m also showing up for the parts of me that are still learning to feel worthy.
Still learning that I don’t need to fix myself to be allowed to take up space.

This
this isn’t perfection.
It’s not even polished.
It’s just the truth.

And that?
That’s fu***ng alchemy.

You don’t have to be calm.
You don’t have to know how this works.
You just have to show up.

Breath & Belong is a monthly breathwork circle where we slow down, sip cacao, breathe deeply, and create space to come back to ourselves—gently, honestly, and without pressure.

If you’ve never tried breathwork before, this is a beautiful place to start.

If you’ve tried it and found it intense, this is a softer way in.

You’re welcome here—exactly as you are.

Burnout is real. But so is the quiet knowing in your body that this pace, this pressure, this disconnection… isn’t sustainable.

This work isn’t about pushing through. It’s about creating space to return to yourself.
Gently. Breath by breath.

Join me for, this Saturday 14th June for Breath & Belong.
A monthly breathwork circle to slow down, soften, and reconnect.
No fixing. No performing. Just space to feel and come home to your body.

Reva Yoga & Wellness, New Plymouth, 6.30 - 8pm.

“It felt as though I was shedding an old skin...crawling out of something outdated and into something new.”

That’s how someone described their experience at last month’s Breath & Belong. And honestly, that’s the power of this work.

When we breathe with intention, something shifts.

We stop performing. We stop pushing.

And we start listening...to what the body has been holding, and what it’s ready to let go of.

This isn’t therapy.
It’s not something you need to figure out.
It’s just breath. And presence. And a space to come home to yourself.

Honestly, being human is messy. You can know all the tools, breathe deeply, journal, regulate and still have days where everything feels a bit too loud.

That doesn’t mean you’ve failed. It means your system is speaking.
Sometimes healing looks like stillness.
Sometimes it looks like a full-blown internal weather system.

The work isn’t to avoid the wave - it’s to remember you can come back to shore.

One breath at a time.

We put so much pressure on ourselves to catch the moment.
To be further along.
To have it figured out already.

But the truth is: you’re not behind.
What’s real doesn’t need to be forced.
It finds you when you’re ready to receive it.

This is your reminder to pause, breathe, and trust that what’s meant for you won’t need chasing—it’ll wait for your return.

There’s a part of you that’s tired of holding it all together.
The one that smiles and says “I’m fine,” even when you’re not.

Breath & Belong is for you.
For the part of you that’s ready to stop performing and start softening.

We gather.
We breathe.
We let what needs to move, move.

This is a two-hour Conscious Connected Breathwork session—no pressure, no fixing, just space to land.

Underneath it all, there’s still you.
The you before the stress.
Before the shutdown.
Before the survival mode.

In Breath & Belong, we use Conscious Connected Breathwork to meet ourselves beneath the surface—gently, honestly, and without needing to explain a thing.

This isn’t about fixing.
It’s not about performance.

It’s a space to soften. To breathe.
To remember who you are under everything you’ve been carrying.

You might feel emotional.
You might feel nothing at all.

Both are welcome.
You are welcome.
