There was SO much creativity, design, problem-solving and, most importantly, fun along the way. We had a colourful canary, cheeky ducks, a fabulous galah, a very proud flamingo and plenty more feathered creations!🦆🐥🐧🐦

The best part? Seeing how incredibly proud the kids were of their finished birds. 💛 They put so much imagination and personality into each one, and it showed!

Self-Portraits 🖤🎨

A wonderful session of drawing ourselves from observation!

Using mirrors, the kids explored charcoal, line, shading and tracing, learning different techniques while capturing their own unique features and personalities.

So much individuality in every portrait! 👏

Did you know the beautiful world of Kiri and Lou is created using plasticine and stop-motion animation? Each character is carefully shaped by hand, then moved tiny amounts and photographed frame by frame to bring them to life.

A wonderful reminder that creativity can begin with just a piece of clay and a big idea! 🎨🌿

Back in full swing with our Term 3 classes this week! A warm welcome to all our returning and new families.

Our tween and teen students explored “Who Am I?”, using art to express themselves.

Our junior artists studied Hundertwasser, discovering how nature inspires his work and that there are no straight lines in nature, creating bold, organic designs.

Today’s art class took a little detour thanks to a very excited bunch of kids! 🎨💦 Plans for half the class changed, but we had a great time making mini collages and enjoying some Harry Potter-inspired creative play and games. Sometimes the best sessions are the ones where the children feel comfortable taking the lead and letting their creativity shine. ⚡️
