Little Parrots

Last week, we had a music day! Shaking, rattling and click-clacking- the tamariki had such a fun time making their own beats and songs, as well as playing along to same of their favourites! 🎶 🥁

Today, the Little Parrots hair and beauty salon was open for business! 💅

Some cool provocations on the tables in the Waiporoporo room this morning!

Fine motor skills were in action at Little Parrots today! 🦜
Picking up pebbles and shells with tongs to follow patterns, and rolling and printing with paint. Both activities are quietly building the hand strength and coordination our tamariki will one day use to write. Learning through play at its best 🎨

Today our tamariki have turned their slide and climbing boxes into a castle! 🏰

You may have noticed a shift in our social media over the last couple of months.
We made the decision to remove children from our posts entirely, with maybe the occasional little hand sneaking in!

Social media is constantly changing and evolving, and posting our tamariki is simply something we no longer feel comfortable doing. We don’t post our own children online, so it didn’t sit right to post yours either. We know this limits us because nothing beats the joy on a little one’s face mid-play, but keeping our tamariki safe online will always come first.
