✨ Welcoming our future Old Girls ✨

We had the pleasure of catching up with our Year 13 students today to talk a little about SMOGA and staying connected with the St Matthew’s community once they leave school. 💚

We were also lucky to have Zoë Porter pop in with her beautiful St Matthew’s Leavers Rings. These aren’t just for our 2026 leavers — they’re available to any St Matthew’s Old Girl who would like one.

A big thank you to Zoë for coming along and showing the girls the rings. 💍 She is also offering 10% off for this year’s leavers, which might be handy for any mums thinking ahead to a special leaving-school or Christmas gift! 🎁

Ring sizes are available to try at the school office.

We hope today’s Year 13s will stay part of the SMOGA community for many years to come. 💚✨

🏑🏐 Can you help us put names to these faces? 🔍

The SMOGA Archives have shared three photographs of junior sports teams from 1996. Some names have been suggested, but we would love your help filling in the gaps and checking that the names we have are correct.

📸 The details currently held for each photograph are included in the comments below. If you recognise anyone, please reply to the comment for that particular team and let us know their row and position from the left.

Please feel free to tag any former students who may be able to help! 💬

⏰ Last chance to be part of this year's SMOGA Magazine! 💚💛

We're now finalising content for this year's magazine and would love to include stories from our Old Girls' community.

If you've been thinking about getting in touch, now's the perfect time.

Whether it's a career update, an overseas adventure, a new business, volunteer work, or a personal or professional achievement, we'd love to help share your story.
And remember...

✍️ You don't have to write it yourself!
Our wonderful magazine writer, Elizabeth Lincoln, can chat with you and turn your experiences into a beautifully written feature for the magazine.

📧 Expressions of interest close 31 July.

Simply email [email protected] and we'll take it from there.

Thank you to everyone who has already been in touch. We can't wait to celebrate the incredible journeys, achievements and experiences of our St Matthew's Old Girls.

Real stories. Real women. Real inspiration.

Old Girls — your voice matters 💚💛

St Matthew’s warmly encourages Old Girls to attend the upcoming Trinity Futures Hui and be part of the conversation about the future of our school and the wider Trinity schools community.

The hui is an opportunity to hear directly from the Trinity Schools Trust Board, ask questions and engage with governors before the Board considers community feedback and decides on a future-focused operating model.

📅 Wednesday 29 July
🕖 7.00–8.30pm
📍 Dining Hall, St Matthew’s School

Please RSVP by Friday 24 July to [email protected].

Our connection to St Matthew’s does not end when we leave the school gates. We encourage Old Girls to attend, stay informed and lend their voices in support of the school and the generations of girls who will follow in our footsteps.

Do you know an inspiring St Matthew's Old Girl? 💚💛

One of the best things about our Old Girls' community is celebrating each other's successes.

Perhaps you have a friend, classmate or colleague who has:
✨ Built an interesting career
✈️ Travelled the world
💼 Started a business
🤝 Made a difference through volunteering
🏆 Achieved something worth celebrating

We'd love to hear about her.

She doesn't have to be famous, and she doesn't need to have climbed Mount Everest! Sometimes the most inspiring stories are the ones that quietly encourage others to follow their own path.

Simply send us her name (or tag her below if she'd be happy with that), and we'll get in touch. If she's interested, our magazine writer, Elizabeth Lincoln, can interview her and write the story—so there's no pressure to put pen to paper.

Every journey inspires. 💚💛

It's easy to think your story isn't interesting enough.

But often it's the everyday journeys that inspire others the most.

Perhaps you've:
✈️ Taken the leap and headed overseas.
💼 Started a new career or business.
🎓 Continued your studies.
🤝 Given back through volunteering.
🏆 Reached a personal or professional milestone.

Wherever life has taken you since leaving St Matthew's, we'd love to hear about it.
Your story might be exactly what encourages a current student to pursue her own dreams, or reminds a fellow Old Girl that she's part of a lifelong community.

📸 Photos are always welcome too—they help bring your story to life!

If writing isn't your thing, don't worry. Our magazine writer, Elizabeth Lincoln, can chat with you and help tell your story.

🌟 We're looking for your stories! 🌟

Planning is underway for this year's SMOGA Magazine, and we'd love to hear from our incredible Old Girls.

Whether you've recently started a new career, travelled overseas, launched a business, volunteered in your community, received an award, or simply have a story you'd like to share, we'd love to include you.

Every story matters, and you never know who you might inspire.

Not keen on writing? That's absolutely fine! Our magazine writer, Elizabeth Lincoln, can chat with you and help turn your story into a feature for the magazine.
Know an Old Girl with a story worth sharing? We'd love to hear about her too.
