This was SO amazing to be a part of šŸ„°

I couldnā€™t believe how much the children have learned, could tell me and could put into action after only a few weeks of me going in and taking a 20-30 minute session with them once a week for the past few weeks this term.

And the effect on the child we are putting this into place for (but EVERYONE involved in this beautiful programme benefits) is already so wonderful to witness - and weā€™ve barely even started yet šŸ’–šŸ„¹šŸ¤Æ

I am JUST SO EXCITED to see what comes next šŸ¤—

I have a workshop from the creator of Stay Play Talk himself - Prof Howard Goldstein, in my Guest Expert Membership.

He created and tested this peer mediated social-skills training programme THIRTY YEARS ago, and itā€™s STILL ahead of its time now and still one of the highest rated social skills interventions out there for evidence.

I stumbled across it as a new-graduate Speech Language Therapist twenty years ago, when I was looking for a way to support the children with additional needs I was working with, with friendship skills, had the HUGE realisation that itā€™s not all on them, and that their typically developing peers need to be taught how to communicate and play with them too, promptly fell in love and have been using it and singing its praises ever since.

If you donā€™t know this programme, and you work with or are the parent of young children with additional needs, you have GOT to look it up.

Thereā€™s lots of information freely available out there if you search for it, or Iā€™ve collated it all for you, alongside the workshop from Prof Goldstein, in my Guest Expert Membership.

Mmmmkay.

Itā€™s not your fault. Sometimes speech sound challenges just happen and we donā€™t really know why.
