We value social skills, self-confidence and leadership, and provide opportunities for the children to practice these skills regularly. Hillpark Kindergarten is situated next door to Hillpark Primary School and we have a transition to school programme with them. We have a large attractive outdoor area where children can explore,

Last week we celebrated Sea week. It is a favourite topic for many of our tamariki, and the sea themed opportunities allowed us to discuss how we can care for the moana. The end result was a big mural that expressed many of the discussions that occurred.

We had a visitor to kindy today. Wendy Wētā joined us in the sandpit. An interesting fact about Wētā are…. Wētā ears are located on their front legs, just below the knee joint. Something we didn’t know. After a visit she ran up the nearest tree to watch over us all.
