PILOT - Pacific Island Leaders of Tomorrow
What an amazing and beautiful experience today for 10 of our Year 12 boys that went to MIT Ōtara Campus for PILOT.
So many chants, a lot of smiles and most importantly a lot of cultural respect and proudness. Loud & Proud.

End of last term our Year 13 Boys attended a Career's Expo at the Due Drop Centre in Manukau.
Two of our students that have planned to go to the NZDF for the Navy, got to meet the boys that were parked up representing NZDF and the person that has also been supporting them throughout their application process.
Almost time before all our boys sail off into the next endeavor

Yet again - blessed with another University coming to speak to our boys. This time it was Victoria University of Wellington, who spoke specifically to our Year 11-13 Maori Whanau Group.
Really good opportunity for the Year 11's to hear about the pathway of University as usually these presentations cater more towards year 12/13s.

- DINE ACADEMY -
We had Sonia in yesterday from Dine Academy. The intention is to empower youth transition into employment, training and brighter futures through the culture of hospitality, tourism, events and service.

We had a large group of boys getting themselves prepped for a 4 day part-time job experience in the July School holidays - 2 days at Mount Smart and 2 days at Eden Park.

How exciting!

"Dare to Dream"
We were fortunate enough to have some amazing speakers come to De La Salle from Auckland Business Chamber and even a couple US guests. We hosted a morning tea after and 6 of our school leaders came in and mingled whilst also having the chance for a sit down chat about their futures and even a couple of life lessons.

Welding Experience ⚙️ a few of our Year 12/13 boys got to meet with Svend to learn about Welding. Even had the chance to be hands on. Couple boys walked away more clear of what they wanted to study after this experience - how exciting.
