Busy Bees Coopers Beach We are a childcare centre for children aged 0 to 6 years, situated in the beautiful Doubtless Bay

We are a small centre located near the beach in a tight-knit community. We believe that as an early learning centre, we have an important part to play in our local community and a very special opportunity to positively impact the lives of our young tamariki in their early stages of development.

Dear Whānau/families of our Akonga/Learners 🤎

We need your support! 🌿

At Busy Bees we are always looking for ways to help our students grow into thoughtful, responsible citizens who care for their community and the planet. One simple but powerful step we can all take together is reducing plastic use in lunchboxes.

We kindly ask for your support in packing lunches with reusable containers, bottles, and utensils, and avoiding single-use plastics such as cling wrap, plastic bags, and disposable cutlery. By making these small changes at home, you’ll be teaching children the value of caring for our environment and building habits that last a lifetime.

Our Kaiako will be working with students to learn about sustainability, and your partnership makes this learning real and meaningful. Together, we can create healthier habits for our children and a cleaner future for everyone.

We’re pleased to announce that we will be participating in the Heart Foundation’s Tohu Manawa Ora | Healthy Heart Award.

This innovative programme has supported hundreds of early childhood education services in New Zealand to implement a heart-healthy environment – and now it’s our turn!

The Tohu Manawa Ora | Healthy Heart Award programme emphasises the positive impact of early childhood nutrition and physical activity on children’s current and future health and development. Establishing healthy habits in early childhood years provides a foundation for lifelong health and well-being.

Gaining a Tohu Manawa Ora | Healthy Heart Award will help us create and maintain an environment that promotes healthy eating and physical activity.

We trust you will support our involvement in this exciting programme, as your assistance and contribution will help us to achieve our goal. Please look out for further updates!
