I am an experienced guitar tutor with who gets results using a positive, logical and fun method. Just to explain how I like to run the lessons; my hourly charge includes all teaching materials, audio clips, chord, and tab sheets. I try and find out what motivates and design technique skill-based learning around that. For instance, if your love The Beatles I'll teach the chords to play one of their

songs first as a way of making chord transitions meaningful and fun. I measure each lesson with a small test at the start- usually how many scales in a minute. I believe in measurable improvements and aim to make a 3% change each week. The following hour is split into 15 mins skill training, 15 min rhythm work, 15 minutes fingerstyle and the final 15 is usually a song we are working on. I've been teaching for over five years and am a working musician who creates original music and plays paid gigs at functions and bars. Based in Tawa, Wellington New Zealand my service includes meeting at your house and teaching you there. I love seeing students understand that small changes add up to a lot and that you can really achieve a lot more than you though you were capable of.
