Another big day by John and Frank - three days of long hours, thank you, thank you, thank you!
And again thanks Stu for being available too today!
Also to the Helms-Smith and Tatham whānau, Georgie and senior ākonga for the help on the first day - Friday.
The area is out of bounds for this week for the dirt work, drain and concrete to settle.
If we want the playground open for the last week we will need more help when the chip arrives!
I’ll let everyone know when that day will be!
Again Frank and John, as Stu had said ‘you’re legends!’

An awesome day for our Annual Calf and Lamb Day today!
Thanks to our tamariki for all the hard mahi with their animals, also what a great bunch of lambs and calves too. The care and attention the tamariki had put in with their animals was apparent in competition today!
Thanks to the community for coming along and supporting our tamariki, your support and attendance was greatly appreciated.
Thanks to the PTA and staff for all the work in the background, looking forward to next year!

We’ve been busy preparing products for our Calf and Lamb day, Saturday 5th November, and creating our scarecrows! Today we set up our Scarecrow entry in Stratford for the Garden Festival. Our display is on the Field Torque corner opposite Caltex. There are trail entries available at the office, we’re No. 18, Mr Piko!

Tena koutou te whānau, the term is running away on us and we are only three weeks out from the end of another term.
It was so great sharing with school whānau yesterday the work our tamariki have done through our Enviroschool's tikanga.
Their goal was to share with whānau what the five principles (Empowered Students, Cultural Diversity, Māori Perspectives, Sustainable Communities and Learning for Sustainability) mean for us here at Ratapiko School. They worked in small groups to create an iMovie to share these in action. I was so proud watching them create and then share all their mahi. (Check them out on our school website: ratapiko.school.nz, scrol to the bottom).

In the term we continue our exploration of Mātauranga Māori, the land of voyages by sharing and presenting our learning using a range of digital tools. We will be creating visual displays using our coding techniques to create digital representations of the voyages our ancestors made. We are
