The HVS PTA Needs You!

To keep the HVS PTA going strong, we’re looking for new parents and caregivers to join the team.

The PTA helps create the fun, memorable extras our kids and community enjoy, while raising much-needed funds for the school. In recent years, PTA sausage sizzles, juicies fundraisers, movie nights, and more have helped make big projects like our new turf and playground possible.

We are now accepting Out of Zone Enrolment Applications for 2026.

The deadline for the Term 1 Ballot is Wednesday 4th March 2026, 2.00pm. You can collect an out of zone enrolment form from the school office or complete your enrolment application online by click on the following link.

Start the Christmas Season with a Little Creativity!

Art with Mellie (run by Mrs Bone) has two creative events coming up before Christmas — one for kids and one for adults. She offers calm, enjoyable art experiences that are beginner-friendly and focused on helping people make something beautiful in a relaxed, supportive environment.

With the Christmas season getting busy, her workshops provide a chance for adults to unwind and enjoy a creative night out, and a perfect option for children who need something fun and meaningful to do once school has finished. Whether parents are working, catching up on last-minute shopping, or simply looking for a creative outlet for their children, these sessions are the perfect way to kick off the festive break.

Call for contributions to Appreciation Morning Tea for school teachers and staff:

The PTA will be hosting a special morning tea to say thank you to school teachers and staff next Wednesday 26th November at 11am in the HVS staff room.

To make this possible, we need volunteers to contribute a plate of sweet or savoury treats on the day. (To be dropped to the office the morning of the event - no later than 10am please.)

Not a whizz in the kitchen? You can still help! We are equally happy with store-bought goodies, something nice for the table setting or a hand setting-up or tidying-up.

If you’d like to be involved simply fill in our shared contributions sheet here or email [email protected]. You don't need to confirm a dish, but it's handy if you can advise if you're planning something sweet or savoury so we have a good balance of items, however no seafood please due to allergies. Some gluten free options are appreciated.
