Semiahmoo Public Library held a special pre-Christmas treat for 60 grade 4 students as international author Gary Nelson read from his first children's book, The Ultimate Tree House Project.
"How many of you have built a tree house?" started off the reading, with only a few hands in the air. "How many of you want to build a tree house?" asked the author. Sixty hands shot up. Thus began an engaging hour as the author read selections from The Ultimate Tree House Project, interspersed with questions for the children. The hour wrapped up with many insightful questions from the audience, and the students voting on the Teachers who asked the best questions. Two teachers each received a free book. The reading ended with book signings and gifts for all of the students.
