Earlier this year we celebrated with Tauranga City Council when the Bubbles Play Pod received the award for Play Space of the Year 2026 (under $500,000 category) Recreation Aotearoa - Te Whai Oranga Awards Evening.

At Southwell School that vision was to create a space that inspires curiosity, encourages active play, and gives children opportunities to challenge themselves, connect with others, and simply enjoy being kids.

Earlier this year, we partnered with Southwell to bring that vision to life, creating a vibrant play space that will be enjoyed by students for years to come.

Hello 2026, we are back!

After a well-earned break, our amazing team kicked off 2026 on January 12th with a BBQ breakfast and a great catch-up before getting back to work.

Since then, it’s been all hands on deck designing, manufacturing, and installing playgrounds around the motu. Huge credit to our crew for bringing their energy and skills from day one. What an exciting year ahead!

That's a wrap for 2025 at Playground Creations.

We clocked off at midday today and celebrated the end of an epic year of building playgrounds for tamariki across Aotearoa the best way we know how — with a BBQ and good laughs, before heading off for a well-deserved break.

From big builds to little details, this incredible team has poured heart, skill and hard mahi into creating incredible playgrounds. We couldn’t be prouder of what’s been achieved together this year.

We’ll be back refreshed and ready to create more magic on 12 January 2026.

🎄 Celebrating the Playground Creations Whānau 🎄

What a way to wrap up the year! Our Playground Creations team came together over the weekend for a Christmas do filled with laughter, connection, and a whole lot of fun.

We kicked things off at HQ with the full PGC whānau, then jumped on the bus to enjoy a bit of friendly competition at Hamilton East Croquet Club 🎯, before heading out to , for a festive feast, live band, and plenty of dancing 💃🕺 with everyone safely delivered home by a fleet of Ubers.

Moments like these reflect who we are — a team that works hard, takes pride in what we build, and genuinely enjoys spending time together. It’s this culture that flows through every project we deliver for schools, councils, and communities across Aotearoa.

Looking ahead to 2026, we’re excited to keep creating inspiring play spaces — and to welcome new clients and new team members along the way. 🌿🛝

Here’s to great people, great projects, and plenty more to come.
