We encourage our wāhine to get behind this collection if you have bras, swimwear or cloth nappies that you don't use anymore.

Give your bras a second life by dropping them into one of our collection boxes at Waikato council offices and libraries this month.

They'll be donated to women in the Pacific Islands, helping extend the life of quality clothing and reduce textile waste.

We’re accepting:
- Bras, including sports, nursing and mastectomy bras
- Swimwear
- New or nearly new underwear
- Fabric nappies.

Northern United Netball was nominated by Courtney Livingstone, whose nomination was selected at random. We've directly contacted the club and are looking forward to creating some awesome new kit for them 🏐

A huge thank you to everyone who got involved, nominated their favourite clubs and shared the giveaway. We love seeing the support for our local sporting communities!

Thank you to our incredible coaches, who volunteer their time, energy and dedication to their teams. The hours spent at training, on game day and behind the scenes do not go unnoticed.

Our players are so lucky to have coaches who believe in them, support them and give so much to help them grow both on and off the court.

Coach of the year 2026 - Courtney Livingston

“I would like to nominate my Amazing coach Courtney Livingston for Coach of the Year!

I have been fortunate enough to have Courtney coach me for the second season, and I really believe she has helped my confidence of getting back into the game immensely. Coming from a social team last year to be in a C1 Grade this year has been overwhelming but Courtney is always reassuring me that this is where I belong.

Courtney has a realistic, yet thoughtful coaching style. Not only does she like to talk with us about what strategies we need to use within our game, she is also always making sure that we all feel comfortable within positions we are playing and within the team. When you become part of Courtney's team you become one of her people and she will take care of you ❤️

Not only does she live and breathe netball, as you know she does alot of other tasks for the club aside from coaching our team, multi-talented indeed!

I could go on but I think it goes without saying that Courtney 100% deserves to be in the running for coach of the year!”

Club spirit award 2026 - Keila Tari

“Keila is Northern United club spirit through and through.

“Every single week, Keila gives 100%. She consistently shows up, puts in the work, supports her teammates and wider club community, and always conducts herself in a way that reflects the values of Northern United.

She is someone who simply does the right thing. She is reliable, consistent, positive and never backs down from a challenge. Whether it is supporting her own teammates, encouraging others around the club or simply showing up and giving her absolute all, Keila represents Northern United with genuine pride.

She is one of everyone’s biggest supporters the person cheering others on, lifting people up and bringing energy wherever she goes. She is also, quite simply, a rocket who gives everything she has to whatever she puts her mind to.

If I were asked, “Who represents our club in the way we aspire to?” my answer would be Keila every single time.

She embodies the spirit of Northern United through her commitment, attitude, generosity, consistency and unwavering support of those around her. She doesn’t just wear the Northern United colours she represents what they stand for”

Well done, Keila. We are so incredibly proud of you, thank you for all that you are and all that you do for our club. 💙🧡

Team of the year 2026 - Challengers

Challengers have given 1000% every single week, both on and off the court. From being a brand newly formed team to now being in contention for first or second place is a true testament to their hard work, consistency, commitment and dedication.

This team embodies everything Northern United stands for. They have created an environment where everyone feels supported, valued and encouraged to grow. They celebrate each other’s successes, lift each other up through challenges, and are always willing to step in and help other players and teams when needed.

Their dedication to learning and improving has been incredible to watch. Every week they have shown up willing to listen, learn, adapt and work together, and that growth has been reflected in their results.

As their coach, I genuinely couldn’t be prouder of the wahine in this team. They have become more than just teammates they have become a family. The level of awhi, encouragement and support they give one another is something really special.

Challengers have created a team culture where people feel safe to make mistakes, learn, develop and be themselves, knowing they will always have their teammates behind them. The environment they have created for each other is, without a doubt, one of the most uplifting and supportive team environments I have ever had the privilege of being part of.

Their journey this season, their commitment to one another and the way they represent the values of Northern United make Challengers incredibly deserving of Team of the Year.
