I've been adding a few additions to our classroom to better support focus, movement, and engagement.

We now have
- A sensory hammock for calm movement breaks
- Resistance bands on chairs for busy legs
- More hands on and visual resources

Every student learns differently, so creating a space that supports those needs is very important to me.

Today I attended a Maths Professions Development at Morrinsville Intermediate and took away some valuable reminders about how children learn best.

Maths is not just about quick answers — it is about thinking, problem solving, using strategies, and explaining ideas.

For parents, a great way to help at home is to ask:
• How did you work that out?
• Can you show me another way?
• What pattern do you notice?

Feeling stuck is a normal part of learning, and confidence grows through challenges and persistence.

At Wildflower Education, I focus on building understanding, confidence, and making maths feel achievable for every learner.

At Wildflower Education, I believe learning goes far beyond books and worksheets. Life skills are just as important as academics — building resilience, confidence, and real-world capability.
