Come and hear Jake Bailey right here at OP! Livestream Link available on Kāpehu
Visual description: The top of the post has the quote by Sir Isaac Newton - "If I have seen further, it is by standing on the shoulders of giants."
There is a YouTube image of Jake giving his original speech, which has him dressed in his Christchurch Boy's High School uniform. Text overlay says "They told me you've got cancer" .
Side text says: Age 18, Jake was diagnosed with the most aggressive form of cancer in the world. Without treatment he had weeks to live. And even with treatment, there was no guarantee he would survive. Jake had a speech to make and, even if he was dying, he had a desire to live and to do it well. Now, in remission, he's teaching others to do the same.

We have a free family fun day on Saturday 5 April (this weekend) here in the Hub. I would love to have as many people here as possible!
We’ll have a free BBQ, free ice-cream truck, bouncy obstacle course, popcorn and heaps of prizes and treats – we really want to let our ākonga who are parents/caregivers know about a day that will hopefully give them and their kids something to look forward to that won’t cost them any more than the time and transport used to get here.
