Hammond & Campbell Builders is looking for an enthusiastic applicant to apply for a carpentry apprenticeship position that we have available for upcoming 2022.

The role will involve the following:
• Working under the direction and guidance of Hammond & Campbell Builders ltd, support our residential renovations and new residential home projects whilst working towards a BCITO level 4 in carpentry.
• You will develop a broad understanding of the construction industry including workplace safety, providing customer service, moving and handling resources.
• You will learn the practical skills in the various elements that are required to become a fully qualified tradesperson while working towards your qualification.

The right candidate would have the following attributes.
• Physically fit.
• Motivated to start and continue with a career within the construction industry.
• Is punctual and on time.
• Can work well with others but can use their own initiative.
• A clean drivers licence.

Prerequisites and education

• Can provide references;
• Some trade experience preferred but not essential.

Hammond & Campbell Builders is looking for a qualified individual to join our team as a Lead Carpenter.

We are growing and require a staff member to join our friendly, enthusiastic and supportive team to help in 2021 with our projects.
Our position offers the following:

The role will involve the following:
• Carrying out of both residential alterations/renovations and when required new build projects.
• Day to day organisation of set work projects, developing work plans with staff and discussing onsite progress.
• Liaising with sub trades and working within schedules set with a collaborative approach.

The right candidate would have the following attributes.
• A commitment to quality carpentry, delivering high quality work for clients.
• A good knowledge base in residential construction.
• Can forward plan and consider all trade specific requirements within their set projects.
• Motivated to continue with their career within the construction industry and looking for further challenge.
• Has good people, verbal and written communication skills.
• Is punctual and can manage time efficiently.
• Can work well with others but can is adaptable to working on their own if required.
• Physically fit.
• A clean full NZ Driver Licence

Prerequisites and education
• Must be a trade qualified carpenter.
• Can provide a portfolio of work projects that they completed or have contributed to.
• Can provide Two trade references.
