We are looking for a Kaiāwhina Māori to join our team! We’re looking for someone who will focus on supporting tauira Māori the Division of Humanities/Te Kete Aronui in conjunction to the University’s Māori Strategic Framework. This role supports the retention and achievement of tauira Māori through providing advice and facilitating access to services, resources and assistance.
It is essential to have:
• A high level of experience in cultural settings such as on marae.
• A track record of positive relationships with Māori communities and Māori organisations.
• Project planning and implementation skills.
• Excellent communication, networking and interpersonal skills.
This is your opportunity to make a difference while also developing your career in an organisation committed to achieving equitable Māori participation in tertiary education.

Green Hydrogen: Masters and Summer scholarships!
Green hydrogen will become a pivotal vector to carry and store renewable energy in a
future net-zero carbon New Zealand. These scholarships (please see the details below) are
focussed on the development and modelling of green hydrogen storage materials - ranging
from metal extraction from minerals, to production, characterisation and hydrogen uptake
measurement by the resulting materials, theoretical modelling of the hydrogen uptake, and
techno-economic analysis of the roles of hydrogen in New Zealand’s energy system.
