Congratulations, Devon! Very well deserved 👏
Floodplains are ecologically under-recognised in New Zealand—but for Devon Judd, the recently awarded Isaac Scholar from the University of Otago, understanding these systems is critical as climate change-driven weather events increase in scale and frequency. By investigating how plants survive and perform key functions in these systems, Devon’s research will help ensure resilience and function are at the centre of how we restore them.
