🎂 WildHeart Belfast celebrated their 1st Birthday today! 🎂
We celebrated by having kai for our whānau to take this morning - kindly baked by our beautiful Chef Erin.
The tamariki celebrated by making decorations for the room, having a disco dress up and have delicious cupcakes 🎉
We cannot believe our beautiful centre has been open for a whole year now. Thank you to all our whānau and tamariki who have supported us through our first year 🥳

Anzac Biscuit Baking
Last week the tamariki in Tutoke learnt about Anzac Day, through stories, provocations, arts and baking!
Through baking the tamariki learnt about measuring ingredients, following a recipe and collaboratively working together as a team!
This experience also created opportunities for rich conversations about remembrance, sharing, and the significance of Anzac Day in Aotearoa. The tamariki showed great curiosity and pride in their baking, enjoying both the process and the delicious results together.

We were so lucky to be visited by a real life “Nee Naw” in the name of raising funds for our kaiako Grace’s upcoming Sky Tower Challenge!
Our Wildheart parents and wider whānau got to choose which teacher they would like to see soaked by the hose by filling up their cup with the most coins…kaiako Brogan was chosen ☺️ 🚒 the tamariki had the best time sitting in the truck, and being able to spend time with these firefighters engaging with them learning alongside each other.

We’ve been having such a great time together lately in Aruhe and Tarawera 😊 The tamariki have been busy engaging with our environment , exploring, and learning alongside their friends—lots of communication, turn taking, teamwork, and big smiles all around!
It’s been great to see their confidence growing as they try new things and support each other through their play. We’re so lucky to be part of these special moments with them, and to have the opportunity to watch them flourish and grow throughout their learning journey.

🚲WildHeart recently hosted Wheels Week, featuring a diverse array of activities and provocations centred around the theme of wheels.
The tamariki were invited to bring their own wheeled vehicles to school, resulting in a delightful assortment of bikes, tricycles, scooters, and even a small electric motorbike.
Throughout the week, rain or shine, the preschoolers enjoyed accessing the car park, where they had lots of opportunities for fun on the wheels of their choice. 🛴
