Āhiāhi mārie, awesome whanau, as a part of the Bachelor of Teaching Degree ECE through Te Rito Maioha we have been learning about practicing Te Reo me onā Māori and Pacifica Languages with our tamariki. 🥰
One of the fun ways we practice this here is through fun matching activities. 😍

We have an awesome boy in our care who would like another boy to join us to become his friend, preferably ages 2-4 years old. 🤩
Attached are a few photographs of just some the activities that boys in my care have enjoyed exploring over time. 😊
We have outside activities not limited to the photographs of stepping blocks, ramps and blanks, trampoline, sandpit, balls, sports equipment, and bikes. 🥰
We have inside activities not just limited to vehicles, dinosaurs, insects, balls and music.
Play dough, science, painting, art and cooking also happen here. 😍
We have also visit real excavation vehicles and observed them in action. 🤩
We also visit music on a Tuesday morning where more slides, ball pits, free morning tea and playing with friends is found. 🥰

The voices of our tamariki are encouraged to be shared and heard. 🥰🧒👧
My tamariki noticed the sounds had changed in their favourite sounds resources. Together we learned how to resolve challenges by replacing batteries this time. 🤩
Next time, it could be a different strategy used to resolve the challenge. Whatever it is we work together as team to create shared opportunities and learning experiences. 😍🧒👧👶👩‍🦳

Artwork for spring, daffodils and flowers then free flow art from three varied age groups. 😊
I love seeing the unique personalities coming through in the art of our tamariki, and the different ages. 🥰
Here we believe in a combination of templates and free flow art to create space for tamariki to express themselves naturally. 🤩

Happy Father's Day to all the awesome Dads out there. 😊

We celebrated by creating a finger Printed poem for the Dads of our tamariki. 🤩

And of course some free expression art is always a must while the paints are out. 🥰

One of the ways I use this page, my business page is to be thankful for the blessings gained through this career. 🥰

Recently, I completed my final practicum on the long journey to becoming a fully qualified kaiako.
This week I was blessed by my visit Kaiako Emma Parker - vt, thank you so much for the gift pack.
I love it! 🤩
Working Home Grown Kids: Canterbury/Timaru Home Based Childcare Edubase Ltd I have been blessed many unexpected times. 🥰
We are valued for the work we achieve, and I have had three Visiting Kaiako who have gone over and above for me. I could not achieve this job with their support and our awesome regional leader Kimberley Allwright VT. 🥰

I have been on a break from Homebased to complete my final practicum.
I am excited to be back with my tamariki next week, oh the fun and learning we will have. 🥰🤩

At our Janine's Home-base Service through Home Grown Kids: Canterbury/Timaru Home Based Childcare we have started exploring our mana whenua and education for Sustainability to to become Kaitiakitanga guardians of our environment.

To achieve this we have learnt about the living creatures and plants in our natural environment and how to recycle to care for our environments.
We have visited the soft plastics recycling bin to drop of our soft plastics, supported our produce and naturally growing plants, read books. We have watched videos about hector dolphins and recycling, explored matching games, made natural art, and coloured images about our land and environments.

Contact your local Regional Centre for more Information.
I cannot wait to start this course next Semester myself, Semester Rua is going to be hectic, but ka rawe! 🤩🥰
