From 1 June 2026, family visa applications linked to temporary visa holders will move to Immigration New Zealand's new enhanced online system (ADEPT).

This includes selected Student, Work, and Visitor Visa categories for partners and dependent children.

✅ New applications can now be lodged through the enhanced Immigration Online portal.
✅ Applications already submitted in the old system will continue to be processed.
✅ If you have a draft application in the old system, you can either complete and submit it there or start a new application in the enhanced portal.

From 1 June 2026, applicants for certain Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV) roles at ANZSCO Skill Level 3 will need to meet a minimum English language requirement as part of their visa application.

📌 Minimum requirement:
✅ IELTS Overall Band Score of 4.0
✅ PTE Academic 29 or equivalent accepted test

This change may affect workers in occupations such as:
🔧 Mechanics
⚡ Electricians
🪚 Carpenters
🎨 Painters
🏗️ Scaffolders
🧑‍🏭 Welders
🚌 Bus Drivers
…and other ANZSCO Skill Level 3 roles.
