🌟 Meet Our New Playgroup Coordinator – Celia! 🌟

We’re excited to introduce Celia, the new coordinator for Mt Albert Playgroup. Celia will be helping run our weekly sessions and is looking forward to connecting with families in the community.

Here’s a message from Celia:

Hi there,

I’m Celia. I currently work for Plunket Monday to Thursday running parent support and playgroups across Pt Chev and Epsom. I’ve worked for Plunket in these types of roles for 12 years and I absolutely love it!

I’m a mum of four and have been a young mum, a married mum, a widowed mum, and an older mum, so I hope I can provide support to all types of parents and anyone raising tamariki.

I can’t wait to get Mt Albert thriving with the local community again and look forward to creating a great play space as we find our rhythm together. I’m very open to ideas and suggestions.

🌟 Mt Albert Playgroup Reopening! 🌟

We’re excited to announce that Mt Albert Playgroup will be reopening from Friday 20th March!

Join us every Friday from 9:30am – 11:30am (except during school holidays) for a fun and relaxed playtime where little ones can explore, play, and make new friends while parents and caregivers connect.

📍 Location: CLM Mt Albert – Rattray Room

If you have existing prepaid cards, you’re welcome to continue using those. Otherwise, the cost is $4 per child or $5 per family per session.

We’d love to see some familiar faces and welcome new ones too—feel free to bring a friend along! 😊

📢 Playgroup Update

Hi everyone,
Due to a family emergency, playgroup will be closed tomorrow, Friday the 12th.

With that, we’ve officially reached the end of our 2025 year at Mt Albert Community Playgroup.
✨ Thank you to everyone who has put in time, energy, and heart to help us grow into the wonderful little community we are today.
And a big thank you to all the parents and caregivers for your endless support throughout the year we truly appreciate you.

As we wrap up 2025, we want to say how grateful we are for every smile, every little milestone, and every moment shared. Our playgroup is more than a space it’s a family, and each of you brings something special to it. 💛

Wishing you all a joyful, safe, and restful holiday season. We can’t wait to welcome you back in the new year! 🌟

🧪🔬 Scientist Week at Playgroup! 🔬🧪

Get ready for a week full of curious minds and bubbling fun! 🧫✨
Join us from 17th – 21st November, 9.30 – 11.30am for Scientist Week at Mt Albert Community Playgroup!

We’ll be exploring simple science experiments perfect for little ones think volcano eruptions, colour mixing, and lots of hands-on discovery. 🌋🎨💦

Bring your sense of wonder (and maybe a spare change of clothes 😉) things might get a little messy!

Our poll has now come to an end, and it looks like the preferred time is 9.30am – 11.30am!

We did notice that a few people who voted on both sides don’t currently attend playgroup (or may have in the past), but we hope to see you all join us again soon!

Playgroup will be closed tomorrow 30th October as we are going to Auckland Zoo. Please to those who have let me know meet me at the gates at 10am the zoo have kindly asked if we can take a group photo just for there use this won’t be posted up on any social media.
