Kiaora! We have need for a few more helpers for one of our school camp weeks.
The dates are April 3 - 8.
Location of the camp is in the Whangarei Heads, but we will be travelling from Auckland on the 3rd.
Contract $ range dependant on experience, we appreciate the hard work our contractors put into these events and will remunerate you well for you efforts.
The camp is facility based, with year 7 students. You would be responsible for helping students explore the local maunga and moana.
As this is a school event, you will need to have a vaccine passport.

Great couple of days facilitating some nature time for Saint Kentigern Boys School Year 1, 2 & 3.
If this looks like something your school could benefit from, please get in touch.
WHICH WAY IS NORTH? After a day of EOTC (Education Outside the Classroom), the boys in Years 3 can now confidently negotiate all points on the compass, after a session spent orienteering on Roselle Lawn!

Just finished up an amazing couple of days experiencing nature with on their year 1, 2 & 3 in-school camp out.
From hanging in hammocks and rolling mud into seed balls to making artworks from natural dyes and exploring the local plants up close — it was great to see the kids connecting with each other and their natural environment 🌿

With the work we do we are often geared and stocked in the lead up to our camps. Sometimes, unfortunate circumstances leave us with produce we can not use (in this case the recent Level 3 Alert in Auckland). The good people at KiwiHarvest were able to make sure this food did not go to waste, and got it to those who needed it most.
During Alert Level 3 a number of events were cancelled throughout Auckland, this meant there was a lot of perfectly good food unable to be used. Luckily we had calls from a few organisations asking to donate It to KiwiHarvest. Todd from Hākuturi Ltd reached out to donate some kai that was meant to be used for a school camp adventure programme at Whangarei Heads. Thank you for thinking of us and helping us get more food to Kiwis in need! 💚

Carving spoons.
With a little time on our hands during this isolation we took the time to do a bit of whittling with our new carving kits.
Pretty happy with how the spoon came out, definitely lots of learning working with a wood I haven't previously.
American sycamore has an interlocking grain that has a tendency to want to tear, shallow short shaves and sanding a must with this wood!!
