Ending our Samoan Language Week with a special demonstration of the tatau.

For those who may not know, our classroom names, Taema and Tilafaiga, are inspired by the twin sisters who, according to Samoan tradition, brought the art of tatau to Samoa. The tatau holds deep cultural significance in their story and remains one of our treasured measina Samoa (Samoan treasures), carrying the values, history, and identity of our people. 🦇❤️

Our little artists enjoyed creating their own small siapo designs as part of our Samoan Language Week celebrations. Through painting and exploring traditional patterns, our tamaiti expressed their creativity while learning about an important part of Samoan culture. A fun and meaningful experience that encouraged imagination, cultural awareness, and pride in Fa’asamoa. ❤️
