An oldie but a goodie, I have used Free Rice for years in classrooms as a warmup for Literacy and Maths in particular. But they also have Science and Social science categories as well. Students love playing Countries of the World under the History tab as well. https://play.freerice.com/categories

New Ministry approved fonts for handwriting for Google. Go to Fonts and More fonts, type in Playwrite NZ and tick all the boxes. You will be able to use these in Google Docs, Slides and Sheets.

My next favourite Maths manipulatives to use is https://toytheater.com/category/teacher-tools/virtual-manipulatives/ There is something there for all levels. Some of them are Fraction, Decimal and Percentage strips, Area, Perimeter explorer, arrays, number lines, graphs of all kinds, number frames and charts, protractor, angles, dice and spinners, rulers, scales, Place value, Number bonds and so much more. I suggest adding this as a bookmark as you will use these manipulatives many times in your teaching.

Digital Manipulatives are a great resource for teaching maths. Over the next few posts I will be showcasing some of the best. Today is Math Learning Centre apps. https://www.mathlearningcenter.org/apps There are 13 apps, some examples are Number Frames, Math Clock, Fractions and many more. They can be used from Year 1-6. There is a function where you could create a maths activity in the app and students can receive that activity on their Chromebook or iPad by typing in a code. These are great apps to use in small group work and for students to show their understandings.
