Getting outside and working alongside our young men who very soon will be driving as learners, then restricted and eventually fully licensed drivers is a real privilege for me. This is the road safety education RYDA new RYDA Road Safety New Zealand speed and stopping module where the students get to assess and visualise stopping distance as well as understanding inbuilt safety technology. A new generation of drivers who I believe will be much more informed from programs such as this...

Sharon is known for her patient and kind teaching methods when it comes to helping young people prepare to drive as safely as possible as well as assisting them to confidently sit a restricted driving test. She also facilitates the STREET TALK defensive driving courses in Auckland and weaves into her lessons the beginnings of how to recognise hazards on the roads and avoid dangerous situations which often lead to accidents.

The updated Street Talk Course has been revised to include skills that will help both Learner and Restricted Licence drivers pass the new Driving Tests.
Any licence holder can now do this course.
It teaches you how to recognise hazards on the roads and how to avoid dangerous situations that lead to accidents. It is an intensive and interactive course that comprises of 4 x two hour evening sessions in a classroom followed by a one on one practical on-road session.

Faulty High Stop Lights
Faulty Indicators
Faulty Tyres
Faulty Horn
TURN UP LATE
and if you don't have the following...
Learner plates clearly and correctly displayed
Sufficient fuel to complete the test
A current WOF and or registration label
Your driver licence
So if you are going for your driving test - be prepared, give yourself plenty of time and make sure you have looked over the above list and dealt with anything that is outstanding and

If Te Reo is a little unfamiliar for you - upskill your driving knowledge with an awareness of our Mฤori language road safety signage. A warning that a school or school bus is close by. Slow down to 20km's if passing a school bus if it is parked on either side of you on the side of the road and slow down to the appropriate speed limit and less as you drive through a school/kura zone.
