You ask and you shall receive!

Sleepy Cues Info coming your way :)

All children wil have their unique sleepy cues and way of signaling their caregivers when they are tired.

Some children will not signal and will barely show any of this sleepy cues and that is COMPLETELY normal too!

Also, your child will go thorugh different phases depending on age and temperament where they might show some and then stop doing them and start doing another ones.

For example, my daughter used to pull her ears and rub eyes until she turned 1ish and then stop doing that and instead will stare into space and show redness on her eyebrows.

She will not, under any circumstance, stop playing 😂

Does your little one experience any of this sleepy cues? Different ones? Comment below!

Some useful information to take into account when Weaning :)

Let them mix the playdough.

It’s going to be okay, really.

Let them build bridges for toy cars with blocks,
…and bring spoons and bowls into the sandbox.

Let them pull blankets and pillows off their beds to make forts and have tea parties for stuffed animals. 🧸

I know it’s a lot… and maybe the thought of the colors mixing makes your eye twitch… but…

Their imaginations are vast and expansive, they can create magical worlds of make believe and vibrant art, if given the opportunity.

Let them make mud pies, at least once, jump in the puddle…and every now and then, let them mix the playdough.

Let them show you how beautiful the world can be.

So last week in my stories I posted about Shame and How we speak to our children. A lot of you showed interest so I decided to create a series with tons of information about this in hopes to help some families parent in a way which aligns more to their values.

I know its hard not to loose our cool during stressful times, but with this techniques hopefully you will understand your little one more and sympathy with him so you wont go down the rabbit hole.

Change your wording ➡ instead of referring to your children as "bossy", even when they are not around, use the word "determined". A change of the words we use, that contain negative connotations carry a lot of weight on our children mental development. We need to be more mindful.
I will be explaining more about the rest of the categories listed on the post on the next part of the series.

Start with the first one, practice is key, even when speaking about your kids with other people try using different wording like: assertive, playful, curious, strong willed, determined, focused.

Will you be implementing this changes in your household? Comment below!
