🌿SAVE THE DATE – Gully Restoration Day 🌿
Over the past few weeks, we have been fortunate to have several experts visit our school to help guide and support our exciting gully project. Their knowledge and ideas have inspired us to begin the next step in caring for and restoring this special area.
With Greening Day coming up, we are excited to announce that we will officially begin our gully restoration on Thursday 4th June. 🌱
Our Enviro Tamariki are currently busy creating persuasive posters to encourage whānau and community members to come along and be part of the day. We would love your support as we work together to help restore and protect our local environment.
More details about the day, including times and what to bring, will be shared next week.
Please save the date — we look forward to seeing our community come together for this special project! 🌏💚

Good morning from camp!
Evening families.
Such a great first day, with plenty more fun to have tonight.
Here is an album with images that we have taken and will continue to add to, feel free to take a look. (Note these are our raw, low res images we will have better quality at the end of the camp)

Hey team,
We’ve officially started in earnest!
A final few reminders before we head off:
Please meet at the location you selected on the transport plan: either at school at 8:20am or Tram Road Bridge at 9:00am.
Bring home baking or a packet of biscuits to be handed in tomorrow.
All medication must be clearly named, include instructions, and be handed directly to me.
Students must have a packed lunch, drink bottle, and a small bag for the walk into camp (main gear will go in the trailer).
A couple of extra notes:
Please ensure all gear is clearly named.
No lollies or treat food – camp is fully catered and there will be plenty of food to keep everyone fuelled.
Make sure students wear comfortable walking shoes and appropriate clothing for the weather.
I will be posting updates throughout camp on Hero and on the school page.
Looking forward to an awesome few days! And, Thankyou to everyone who has supported this camp and continue to support our class - none of this is possible with out you all.
Craig
The AED at Upper Atiamuri School is NOT working - nearest device is Bluff Club or Ngakuru Hall.
