I’m thinking I might send Golriz some Ira cards. Golriz’s memoir is a sweet and biting reflection on the challenges of settling in to a xenophobic racist NZ as a refugee family, the prejudices and barriers , and what is necessarily relinquished and born anew in order to find one’s place in a new country. Ka rawe, Golriz Ghahraman: we are fortunate your family found their way here.

Kia ora whānau. This might be a good time to focus on some regular practice for your wellbeing, perhaps starting with acceptance/ whakaaetanga (making what is correct or true). As Dr Bloomfield said today, the problem is the virus not people, so accepting that as the case, and extending patience and kind thoughts towards others also lifts our own spiritual health. xC

So grateful to the courier services who got this to its destination this week. I won’t process any more orders until this situation has passed. For those of you who have the cards, please share your daily card with us, and in doing so, you’ll be doing exactly what these cards are created for: inspiring others 💙

Ira Atua, Ira Tangata. Spirit connects us and is within us, guiding, knowing, caring. This year, Ira Cards have gone around the world. Shared in groups, in homes, healing circles (photo provided by ) schools, universities, work places. Wherever they find you, may you be blessed, and your heart at peace.
