Netball North Harbour - U14 Selections

We are incredibly proud to celebrate two Pinehurst students who have been selected for the Netball North Harbour U14 Representative Teams:

⭐ Elizabeth de Winnaar – U14 B

It’s fantastic to see our girls shining amongst some of the best young talent in the region.

Yesterday marked the first of several Sunday tournaments that will run through until July, and we look forward to following their representative journey over the coming months.

North Shore Primar Swimming Champions 🏆

Our amazing Y4-6 swimmers represented the school with pride at the North Shore Swimming Champs yesterday, competing against 26 other schools.

They performed exceptional well, finishing first overall and retaining the trophy for a third year in row - an outstanding achievement

Our swimmers brough home an impressive medal haul of 20 gold, 14 silver and 21 bronze medals. We are extremely proud of their effort, determination and team spirit,

What a fantastic performance from Anna at the North Harbour U15 Tournament (18–19 April)! 👏

Anna delivered an outstanding all-round effort, achieving:
🥇 1st – Girls’ Doubles
🥈 2nd – Mixed Doubles
🥈 2nd – Girls’ Singles

Competing across all three events over two days is no small feat. While many players choose to specialise in just one or two events, Anna took on the full challenge — demonstrating incredible endurance, commitment, and athletic ability. 💪

Earlier this year, Anna also represented her team at the Junior NZ Badminton League Team Tournament, competing alongside some of the country’s top young talent. Her team finished an impressive 2nd overall in New Zealand for their age group!

Congratulations to Sophie Y on her selection in the New Zealand Junior Team that competed at the 2026 Australian Junior Interstate Championships — and what a result it was! 👏

The team delivered an outstanding performance, completing a clean sweep of all three titles (boys, girls, and overall) at the prestigious event held at Moonah Links in Australia.

This remarkable achievement saw the New Zealand team go undefeated across the tournament, showcasing the strength of junior golf in Aotearoa and setting a new benchmark on the international stage.

We are incredibly proud of Sophie for representing New Zealand and contributing to such a historic victory. 🌟

A number of our students were selected to represent North Harbour at the North Island Secondary Schools Championships.

Congratulations to Elizabeth who placed 5th in the Hammer throw, 8th in the Shot Put & 9th in the Discus. Unfortunately, Caity was unable to compete due to injury.

🏅 Auckland Athletics Junior Prize Giving

At the Athletics Auckland Junior Prize Giving, which marked the end of the 2025/2026 season, Elizabeth de Winnaar was awarded 2nd equal in the 13 Yrs Girls category.

With over 40 athletics clubs across Auckland, this is a fantastic achievement and a testament to her hard work and outstanding performances throughout the season.

What a way to kick off the season! Our 1st XI Hockey Boys made history on Wednesday night, competing in the Greater Auckland Premier competition for the very first time.

Taking on Mount Albert Grammar, the boys delivered an outstanding performance to secure a 2–1 victory 💪

Climbing to new heights—next stop, Italy!

We are incredibly proud of Xavier’s outstanding performance at the New Zealand Climbing Nationals! 🧗‍♂️

Moving up into the U17 category, Xavier qualified 2nd as one of the youngest competitors and went on to secure an impressive 3rd place finish—just two holds shy of silver. 🥉

This result has earned him selection to represent New Zealand at the IFSC World Climbing Youth Championship in Arco, Italy this July! 🇳🇿

An amazing achievement—well done Xavier, and all the best on the world stage! 👏

🚴‍♂️ BMX Success on the National Stage

We’re proud to celebrate Liam and his recent performance at the BMX Nationals (20–22 March), where he competed in a strong field of 46 riders in his age group.

Liam showed great determination and resilience throughout the event, gaining valuable experience against top competition from across the country.

Even more exciting, Liam has qualified to represent New Zealand at the BMX World Championships in Brisbane this July - an incredible achievement!

Congratulations Liam, we can’t wait to see you take on the world stage! 🌏

🏊‍♀️ Record-Breaking Performance for April!

Congratulations to April H. on an outstanding achievement at the 2026 ASA Age Group and Open Championship this weekend.

Competing in the 200m Breaststroke, April delivered an incredible swim, breaking the Auckland 12-year-old long course record with a remarkable time of 2:35 — a result that also surpasses the New Zealand 13-year-old long course record.

An extraordinary accomplishment that reflects April’s talent, dedication and hard work in the pool. We are incredibly proud of her performance - well done, April!
