A Japanese government panel has compiled a draft operational plan for accepting foreign workers under two systems. The plan states that 1.23 million foreign workers could be accepted by the end of March 2029, which is the upper limit.

The government plans to accept foreign workers under either the current system for specified skilled workers or a new training program to be introduced on April 1 next year. The new program aims to train workers so they can attain the level of specified skilled personnel in principle in three years.

The panel of experts met on Wednesday and finalized the draft plan by industrial sector.

The plan said 805,700 people will be accepted in 19 fields, including industrial manufacturing and food and beverage production, under the current system for specified skilled workers.

Another 426,200 people will be accepted in 17 fields under the new training program. These 17 fields are the same as those covered by the specified skilled worker system, with automobile transportation and aviation excluded.

The number of foreign workers to be admitted to Japan was calculated based on factors such as the estimated size of the domestic workforce and expected productivity improvements.

The government plans to discuss the draft plan with the ruling parties and have the Cabinet approve it later this month.

✅ २०२६ अप्रिलदेखि SSW परीक्षामा पासपोर्ट अनिवार्य हुनेछ।
✅ पहिचान प्रमाण (ID) का रूपमा केवल पासपोर्ट मात्र मान्य हुनेछ।
✅ पासपोर्ट नभए परीक्षा दिन पाइँदैन।

✅किन यो नियम लागू हुँदैछ?
सुरक्षा (Security) र निष्पक्षता (Fairness) को लागि पासपोर्टलाई मात्र आधिकारिक ID मानिने निर्णय भएको हो।

✅कहिलेबाट लागू हुन्छ?
→ २०२६ अप्रिलदेखि
→ फिलिपिन्समा भने २०२५ डिसेम्बरदेखि नै अघि बढेर लागू हुनेछ।

✅कहाँ लागू हुन्छ?
→ विश्वका सबै SSW परीक्षा केन्द्रहरूमा (All test countries)।

✅जापानमै परीक्षा दिनेहरूका लागि:
→ यदि तपाईं जापानमा SSW परीक्षा दिनुहुन्छ र तपाईँसँग 在留カード (Residence Card) छ भने, अझै पनि त्यो साथमा ल्याउनुपर्नेछ।

→ तर योसँगै पासपोर्ट पनि अनिवार्य हुनेछ।
✅परीक्षा बुकिङ (Reservation) को समयमा पनि पासपोर्ट चाहिन्छ।
→ २०२६ अप्रिलदेखि परीक्षा दर्ता (booking) गर्दा पनि पासपोर्ट नम्बर चाहिनेछ।
→ त्यसैले पासपोर्ट नभएकाहरूले अब ढिला नगरी छिटो बनाउने तयारी गर्नुहोस।

✅परीक्षा दिन जाँदा पासपोर्ट नभए परीक्षा दिन पाइँदैन।
→ अरु कुनै ID (citizenship, license, student card आदि) स्वीकृत हुनेछैन।
→ पासपोर्ट नभए परीक्षा दिनबाट पूर्ण रूपमा रोकिनेछ।
