Mt. Everest, the Peak of the World: Nepalโs Identity and Pride! ๐๏ธ๐ณ๐ต
โHappy 73rd International Everest Day! Today, we commemorate the historic milestone of May 29, 1953, when Tenzing Norgay Sherpa and Sir Edmund Hillary became the first humans to step onto the highest point on Earth.
โEverest continues to be the ultimate ultimate symbol of human endurance and global adventure. Here is a look at its incredible legacy by the numbers:
โ10,000+ brave mountaineers have successfully summited Everest to date.
โ415 climbers (105 women and 310 men) received permits for this Spring season alone.
โ56 countries and 52 teams are represented, proving Everestโs timeless global appeal.
โAs an institution dedicated to tourism and hospitality management, NCTTM extends its deepest admiration and warmest wishes to all climbers, legendary Sherpa guides, and dedicated tourism professionals who keep the spirit of Himalayan adventure thriving! ๐๏ธโจ

๐ Souls in Sunsari | Chatara Dham Field Immersion 2026 ๐
Our BTTM 1st Semester students (2025 Batch) just returned from an unforgettable 3-day journey to Chatara Dham, Barahakshetra, Sunsari โ and they came back transformed. โจ
As part of TTM 102: Values & Spirituality in Tourism, 29 students and 2 faculty members walked the path of Ashram Tourism โ attending morning aartis at the Koshi riverbank, engaging in 8 hours of guided meditation, practicing Karma Yoga through seva, and learning the ancient truth that the finest hospitality begins with a pure heart.
Because tourism isn't just about destinations. It's about connection. Purpose. Service.
A proud moment for the NCTM family. ๐
