Being a part of the 12th Nepal Higher Education Fair (27th & 28th Asadh) was truly a meaningful experience.

Representing Thapathali Campus, Institute of Engineering (IOE), we had the opportunity to provide free counseling and guidance to +2 graduates who are at an important turning point in their academic journey. From answering questions about engineering, entrance preparation, and campus life to discussing career opportunities, it was rewarding to help students make informed decisions about their future.

One of the most important messages we shared was that quality education and promising opportunities exist within Nepal as well. With the right dedication and guidance, students can build successful careers while contributing to the growth of our own nation.

Grateful for the opportunity to inspire, guide, and connect with so many enthusiastic young minds. Wishing every aspiring engineer the very best for their future journey!

A meaningful step forward today.

The team from SOIES Nepal and the Department of Industrial Engineering, IOE Thapathali Campus, had the opportunity to present our proposal titled:

"Academic Research Partnership in Support of Nepal's Industrial Revival Through Industrial Engineering Intervention"

at the National Planning Commission of Nepal.

The proposal seeks to connect academic research with real industrial challenges, enabling Industrial Engineering students and faculty to contribute evidence-based insights toward industrial revival, SEZ development, logistics improvement, and policy support.

We are encouraged by the positive response and constructive discussions during the meeting.

Our sincere gratitude to:
• Asst. Prof. Kamal Pokharel, Head of Department, for his continuous guidance and support throughout the development of this proposal.
• Hon. NPC Member Dr. Pukar Malla for his time and thoughtful engagement.
• Joint Secretary Mr. Arjun Bhandari for facilitating this opportunity.
• Mrs. Pabitra Pyakurel and Dr. Subash Pyakurel for their encouragement and support.
• All faculty members of the Department of Industrial Engineering for their valuable suggestions, feedback, and encouragement during the preparation of this initiative.

This is more than a presentation, it is an effort to demonstrate how academic research and Industrial Engineering can contribute to addressing real industrial challenges in Nepal.

We look forward to building stronger industry–academia–government collaboration in the years ahead.
