Society of Industrial Engineering Students - SOIES Nepal

A meaningful step forward today.

The team from SOIES Nepal and the Department of Industrial Engineering, IOE Thapathali Campus, had the opportunity to present our proposal titled:

"Academic Research Partnership in Support of Nepal's Industrial Revival Through Industrial Engineering Intervention"

at the National Planning Commission of Nepal.

The proposal seeks to connect academic research with real industrial challenges, enabling Industrial Engineering students and faculty to contribute evidence-based insights toward industrial revival, SEZ development, logistics improvement, and policy support.

We are encouraged by the positive response and constructive discussions during the meeting.

Our sincere gratitude to:
• Asst. Prof. Kamal Pokharel, Head of Department, for his continuous guidance and support throughout the development of this proposal.
• Hon. NPC Member Dr. Pukar Malla for his time and thoughtful engagement.

This is more than a presentation, it is an effort to demonstrate how academic research and Industrial Engineering can contribute to addressing real industrial challenges in Nepal.

✍️ Research and Article Writing Training Session Successfully Completed

successfully conducted an online training session on *Article Writing and Research Techniques* for our intern team.

The session was facilitated by Ms. Srasta Shrestha, final year student and mentor for the session, who guided participants through the fundamentals of:
• Research techniques
• Article structuring and formatting
• Referencing and plagiarism awareness
• Report and presentation writing
• Research mindset and publication approach

This initiative was organized with the goal of preparing first-year students and interns for future technical writing, research-based activities, group works, and presentation reports while gradually fostering a stronger research culture among students.

We sincerely thank Ms. Srasta Shrestha for taking the time to share her knowledge and experiences with our interns. We also appreciate the active participation and enthusiasm shown by all attendees throughout the session.
