𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝘄𝗶𝗻 𝗷𝗼𝗯𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮 𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗼𝗰𝗿𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗯𝘆 𝗮 𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗹𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿?
(I must recommend you to make your profile perfect, through a portfolio, introductory video, Certifications, and experience.
However, this post is for those who continuously complain about not getting a client on Upwork despite all the efforts they put in.)
Getting jobs on Upwork is not difficult if:
-You have sharp confidence in your skillset.
-You Understand that your client is also a human who can be persuaded.
🔹Mirror the language of the client, the words he is using (You can see in my cover letter how I am mirroring his language)--We humans like people who are like us.
🔹Repeat what he is looking for after greetings.
🔹If he using Bullets (•) or (-), make sure to use them.
🔹Assure him that you have read his complete description.
🔹Be confident about yourself, (this is so much necessary!)
🔹Try to keep the length of the cover letter equal to the length of the Proposal.
🔹If the client is asking for samples, which you might not have, spare some time and create a small sample. (I would recommend you to leave such a job offer)
🔹Use relevant emojis. (Don't overuse them)
And there you go, congrats.
Final Thoughts:
🔸Try to go for the jobs being posted some minutes ago instead of hours(bad) ago, or days(ugh) ago.
🔸Try to bid on the jobs where there are less than 5 proposals.
🔸Try to bid after midnight when other Pakistanis, Indians, etc are sleeping. (You need to sacrifice, right?)
🔸Keep in mind that your client is a human, just like you, nothing less, nothing more.
Just like you, he also has some weaknesses and insecurities... Target those(don't overuse, or he will run away)...
Just like for example:
What are the consequences he will face if he doesn't work with you?
🔸Assure him that you are equally passionate about his business as he is.
🛑Most Necessary: Be patient and consistent.
Keep trying if you couldn't get any message till now. Keep working on your skills as well.
Also, don't just rely on one platform, Try every platform, you never know which is/are gonna work for you.
