Nipah virus is a serious zoonotic disease that can spread from infected animals to humans and cause severe illness. Therefore, its necessary to avoid contact with sick animals, consume safe food, and practice good hygiene to reduce the risk of infection.

We are pleased to share “Our Song, Our Health”, a documentary that highlights Indigenous Tharu traditional songs as carriers of One Health knowledge.

The film demonstrates how cultural practices communicate deep understanding of the interconnectedness between human health, animal well-being, and the environment—offering valuable insights for community-centered and culturally rooted health approaches.

Created during the Digital Storytelling Workshop on One Health by Indigenous Tharu youths from Tulsipur, Dang, Nepal.
Supported by the UNESCO × SEVENTEEN Global Youth Grant.
