We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the participating artists whose enthusiasm and generosity made this group exhibition possible despite the very short preparation time.

This beautiful acrylic painting by our student Sachika captures the power and drama of the sea. With bold brushstrokes, vibrant turquoise waters, and a majestic ship navigating through stormy skies, the artwork conveys both movement and emotion.
Sachika has done a wonderful job of creating contrast between the dark clouds and luminous ocean, bringing the scene to life with energy and depth. The foamy waves in the foreground add a strong sense of motion, making the viewer feel as if they are right there on the water.
We are proud of Sachika’s dedication and progress in exploring acrylic painting techniques, including layering, blending, and creating atmospheric effects.
Keep up the excellent work, Sachika!

We would like to warmly congratulate all the participants for being part of this exhibition. It brings us immense joy to see Participants from the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd editions of our 15 Days Paubha Painting Masterclass, mentored by Sujit Maharjan and Saru Prajapati, showcasing their works.
What began as a small idea in late December 2024—a course organized, ideated, conceptualised, and initiated by Drawing Room—and formally launched in April 2025 has grown into something far more meaningful than we had imagined. The intention was simple yet significant: to promote awareness and appreciation of the rich cultural heritage of Nepali Paubha painting; to provide hands-on experience and foundational skills in this traditional art form; to facilitate the transfer of knowledge and techniques from experienced artists to new learners; and to foster respect for this sacred practice while encouraging its continuation and preservation.
Today, that small beginning has evolved into a vibrant and growing learning community, reflecting a rising appreciation for the Paubha art form.
Across 6 editions of the Masterclass and our recent Three-Month Advance Paubha Painting Course, we have welcomed participants from diverse backgrounds—interior designers, architects, lawyers, IT professionals, students, researchers, tattoo artists, designers, and many passionate working women. With over 70 participants joining us so far, their dedication and enthusiasm have been truly inspiring.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Paubha artists and instructors Sujit Maharjan, Saru Prajapati and Narendra Malla for their invaluable role in this journey—for generously sharing their knowledge, guiding participants, and contributing significantly to making these courses possible through collaboration.
It also makes us incredibly proud to see Sujit and Saru continuing Paubha painting courses through different formats under Kala Aakar. Witnessing this growth feels like seeing seeds we planted begin to sprout and flourish.
Finally, we would like to acknowledge and honour all the Gurus, teachers, and artists who have been preserving, practicing, and passing down this living heritage for generations.
