Registration for the participation in District Mathematical Olympiad (DMO 2021/22) is now open. All the interested students who are born on or after July 1, 2002 are eligible to attend the selection exam, high scorer 500 students will be selected for National Mathematical Olympiad (NMO). All the questions are based up-to grade 10 mathematics curriculum. Finalist will represent Nepal in International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO 2022) on (6-16) July, 2022 in Oslo, Norway.

DISTRICT LEVEL MATHEMATICAL OLYMPIAD 2021
The International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) is the World Championship Mathematics Competition for High School students and is held annually in a different country.
Mathematical Association of Nepal (MAN), an official representative of IMO, is a registered non-profit voluntary organization of veteran Mathematicians from Universities, Mathematics Trainers, Authors, Gold Medalists and Teachers. It has started its activities since 2015 A.D.
Primarily, it organizes the mathematics competitions in different phases from all over the country, mentoring schemes and training for high performing students and selects top six to represent Nepal in the IMO. It also runs the varieties of enrichment seminars, discussion activities and training in encouraging both learners and teachers. The MAN Executive Board ensures that the National Competition takes place each year and we represent Nepal to each IMO.
According to MAN general regulation participate students should meet the following criteria:-
1. School may send students of any grade or students can register their participation by themselves, but they must have been BORN 𝗢𝗡 𝗢𝗥 𝗔𝗙𝗧𝗘𝗥 𝗝𝗨𝗟𝗬 𝟭, 𝟮𝟬𝟬𝟭.
2. Registration fee for each student is Rs. 500 which can be deposited to the official Bank Account at Sunrise Bank (A/C No. 0060383133701001) or directly pay through QR Code via eSewa or mobile banking.
3. If any of the interested participant is not able to afford fee then he/she can send authentic letter of recommendation from their Gaunpalika or Nagarpalika to [email protected] for regeistration fee waiver.

It is a tragic news that we lost a renounce personality of education particularly in the field of Mathematics, Prof. Dr. Ram Man Shrestha, on October 16, 2020, who is an advisor of Mathematical Association of Nepal – MAN.
His dedication and creative work have always benefited and added to the progress of the Mathematical Education in Nepal. It is rare to find advisor and supporter like him.
