The Coproduction Support is a creative and logistic partnership with Docskool to support the completion of exciting film projects dealing with highly relevant environmental subjects in Nepal.

Airavat Picture House announces festival call for the 2026 Something Like a Film Festival happening, 26 - 28 June in Kathmandu. Submission is open for fiction and documentaries of 30 minutes and less made after 2025.

Film Synopsis: For days, the sky would not close. Rain fell without mercy, and on 28 September 2024, the Roshi River broke its bounds. In Panauti, water roared through the valleys,swallowing homes, sweeping away memories, taking with it twenty lives in a single day. A month later, the mud has dried, but the ache remains. The streets are lined with the skeletons of houses. The river, now calm, carries a silence heavy with what it has taken. Yet here, in the shadow of loss, life stirs. People gather at the temples, incense smoke curling into the morning air. Children run barefoot through the rubble. Families rebuild brick by brick, prayer by prayer. Hoping for a safer tomorrow. This is a story of resilience, of a river, a space, and a community that refuses to surrender. It is also a mirror of a larger truth: from Nepal to every corner of the world. Climate change and the reckless destruction of hills and mountains are inviting disasters we can no longer ignore. Through the lens of the Roshi River, this film speaks of loss, endurance, and the urgent need to protect the fragile balance between nature and human life.
