Here is the glimpse of the session we conducted at Prabhat Secondary School. The students were enthusiastic and indulged in productive discussions and further delved deeper into climate change, food insecurity and nutrition. They also understood the harmful effects of junk food. This session was productive and empowering one as the students had meaningful discussion and also brainstormed their individual role, the role of school administration and parents to tackle the problem of food insecurity.

Let's go through a memory lane to reflect on the Healthy Meal Campaign session that we conducted in Shivapuri School. We conducted two sessions simultaneously for the students of Class 8. The students were eager to delve into climate change and Food Insecurity. Similarly, the session was very productive as the students brainstormed individual steps they could take to tackle this issue. We would like to thank our knowledge partner and their team member Sushmita Adhikari for contributing to make this session a successful one.

As the Youth Engagement Specialist/ Social & Human Sciences (SHS) Focal Point at UNESCO Country Office in Nepal, Mr. Lamichhane brings over a decade of experience working with UN, Youth CSOs, I/NGOs, educational institutions, and local government. We conducted the Healthy Meal Campaign at Vishwa Niketan School.
The students learnt about climate change, food insecurity, nutrition and effects of unhealthy food. The students critically analyzed and showcased solution oriented skits on different prompts provided to them in relation with food insecurity. They also came up with interesting pledges by the end of the session. We would like to thank our team member, Ritika Basnet , knowledge partner and their team members Sushmita Adhikari and Manaslu Ojha for playing a big part in making this session a successful one.

On November 30, we conducted our ongoing Healthy Meal Campaign for about 92 students at Ganesh School, Budhanilkantha.
The students learned how climate change exaberates Food Insecurity, the dietary needs and effects of junk food. The students wrote pledges that they can take from individual steps to mitigate climate change and food insecurity.
