🌍 Why don’t we feel Earth moving?

Earth is moving incredibly fast.

It spins at about **1,670 km/h at the equator** and travels around the Sun at nearly **30 km/s**.
But still, we don’t feel this motion.

Why?

Because we are moving **with Earth**, not separately from it.
The ground, oceans, atmosphere, buildings, trees, and our bodies all share almost the same motion. Since everything around us is moving together, there is no clear motion difference for our body to notice.

Our balance system also does not sense constant speed directly.
Inside our inner ear, the **vestibular system** mainly detects changes in motion — acceleration, turning, shaking, or sudden jerks.

So when motion is smooth and constant, our body treats it as normal.

That’s why Earth can be moving fast, but everything still feels calm.
