The school is renowned for its academic achievement .The school has been successful to achieve National shields thrice and Regional shields four times in different Academic years . GSS has has been Marvelously successful to gain the grand SLC results since 1996 and up to present about 1500 students have appeared in the SLC examination ,whoever failed in the regular examination have passed in the supplementary exam.At present,the success rate appeared 98.3% .The school has adopted the policy of liberal class promotion at all levels,so the the promotion rate is 98 % and the class repetition and drop out rate is 2 % in the total number of students of the school.This is all possible due to the collective efforts of SMC,Teachers,parents and students.
