Empowering Futures with the Sadikshya Scholarship Project!
The Sadikshya Scholarship Project continues its mission to support education for underprivileged students in Nepal. In January 2025, the project reached 233 financially disadvantaged students across seven schools in Dhading and Parsa districts, providing essential school supplies and uniforms to help them thrive academically.
In Benighat Rorang Rural Municipality, Dhading, 117 students from five schools—Shree Banskharka Secondary School, Jarung Simtar Basic School, Shree Kalika Basic School, Shree Bitesh Basic School, and Rastriya Basic School—received top-up stationery materials as part of the scholarship initiative. They also received sports materials, including carrom boards, chess sets, badminton kits, and volleyballs. These students were initially supported during the 2023 phase of the project in Dhading, where they were awarded full-package scholarships for the academic year.
Additionally, 45 students from Kalidevi Secondary School in Siddhalekh Rural Municipality, Dhading, and 71 students from Shree Nepal Rashtriya Secondary School in Birgunj Metropolitan City, Parsa, were provided with complete sets of school supplies. These included school bags, notebooks, art supplies, scientific calculators, geometry sets, and school uniforms and shoes—offering much-needed resources for a full academic year.
Earlier in May 2024, the project also supported 265 young children aged 3 to 10 at Shree Nepal Rashtriya Aadharbhut Vidyalaya in Bara. They received similar academic resources to alleviate financial burdens and encourage regular school attendance.
All thanks to the incredible partnership with Hart4onderwijsNepal and the dedicated efforts of Action Nepal, the Sadikshya Scholarship Project continues to break down barriers to education, reduce dropout rates, and create brighter futures for students across Nepal.
