SOA - Siksha 'O' Anusandhan Nepal Admission

PROF. (DR.) ASHOK KUMAR MAHAPATRA CONFERRED WITH PADMA SHRI BY THE PRESIDENT OF INDIA...
Eminent Neurosurgeon and presently Principal Advisor (Health Sciences) to the Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan University (SOA) prof Ashok Kumar Mohapatra conferred with the Padma Shri by the President Ms. Droupadi Murmu at a special function held at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi.
Prof. (Dr.) Mahapatra was conferred with the award for his contribution in the field of medicine.
Prof. (Dr.) Mahapatra, who headed the neurosurgery department at AIIMS, New Delhi, and was appointed as the first Director of AIIMS, Bhubaneswar, also served SOA as its Vice-Chancellor.

Prof. (Dr.) Mahapatra is counted among the top five neurosurgeons in the world.
He had led the surgical team which battled for over 16 hours to separate the conjoined twins Jaga and Kalia at AIIMS-New Delhi which involved separating the cranium where the twins were fused. It is said to be the first such successful surgery conducted in India.

SOA AMONG FOUR UNIVERSITIES IN INDIA LISTED IN TIMES HIGHER EDUCATION (THE) WORLD REPUTATION RANKINGS 2025...
Already a name to reckon with in the realm of academics, healthcare and research, Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan Deemed to be University (SOA) here has attained a significant achievement by finding place among four institutions in India in the Times Higher Education (THE) World Reputation Rankings 2025.
The list, which includes Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru, Indian Institute of Technology-Delhi and Indian Institute of Technology-Madras besides SOA, was published on Tuesday.
Only four institutions in India have been included in the list of which SOA is the lone private institution. All the four institutions were positioned in the 201-300 bracket in the ranking.
