🌟 God’s Timeline — Rightly Divided

📖 2 Timothy 2:15 (KJV)
“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”

One of the most important principles for understanding the Bible is learning to rightly divide God’s Word. The Bible is completely true and inspired by God, but not every command or program in Scripture is directed to the same people at the same time.

When we rightly divide the Word of truth, we see that God reveals His plan in three major time divisions.

1️⃣ TIME PAST — God’s Program with Israel

📖 Ephesians 2:11–12 (KJV)
“Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh…
That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world.”

From Genesis through the early part of Acts, God was working primarily through the nation of Israel.

This was the prophetic program that had been spoken of since the world began.

📖 Acts 3:21
“Which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.”

During this time…
• God gave Israel the Law
• Israel was the chosen nation
• The hope was the earthly kingdom
• The message preached was the gospel of the kingdom

Jesus Himself ministered primarily to Israel.

📖 Matthew 15:24
“I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.”

2️⃣ BUT NOW — The Mystery Revealed

📖 Ephesians 2:13 (KJV)
“But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.”

Something new happened that had never been revealed before.

God revealed a mystery to the apostle Paul.

📖 Ephesians 3:8–9 (KJV)
“…that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;
And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God…”

This mystery is the creation of a new body of believers called:

The Body
