STEM ACADEMY is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Student Counselor to join our dynamic team and provide essential support to our students. As a Student Counselor, you will play a vital role in promoting the well-being and academic success of our students. We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about helping young minds navigate challenges and develop the necessary skills for personal growth.
Responsibilities:
Provide individual and group counseling sessions to students, addressing a range of personal, social, and academic concerns.
Assess students' needs and develop appropriate intervention plans and strategies.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to create a supportive and inclusive school environment.
Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students who may benefit from counseling services.
Guide students in developing effective study habits, time management skills, and goal-setting strategies.
Facilitate workshops and programs on topics such as bullying prevention, stress management, and conflict resolution.
Maintain accurate and confidential records of counseling sessions and student progress.
Stay updated on the latest research and best practices in the field of student counseling.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working as a counselor, preferably in an educational setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect and build rapport with students from diverse backgrounds.
- Knowledge of various counseling techniques and intervention strategies.
- Empathy, patience, and the ability to provide a safe and non-judgmental environment for students.
- Familiarity with ethical guidelines and regulations related to counseling practices.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
