Pause for a second… this was just ONE year ago.
Different faces. Different promises. Different politics.
And now look where we are.
Time doesn’t just pass. It changes everything.

13 DAYS LATER… NEPAL IS STILL WAITING. 🇳🇵

1,355 lives lost.
4,996 people still missing.
But 4 people were found alive in just the last four days.

That means one thing:

We cannot stop searching yet.

Behind every missing-person number is a mother, a father, a brother, a sister… someone desperately waiting for them to come home.

And tonight, while most of us are safe, thousands of families are still waiting for that one phone call.

Keep them in your thoughts.
Keep hope alive.
And don’t let the world forget. 🇳🇵❤️

🇳🇵 Where is Nepal’s Rs 2.12 trillion federal budget actually going?

The government has set aside Rs 2.124 trillion for FY 2083/84 (2026/27). A big portion goes toward recurrent spending — including salaries, pensions, social benefits, transfers, goods and services needed to keep the government running.

But there’s also significant spending planned for infrastructure. Rs 286.48 billion is allocated for roads and urban infrastructure, including major projects such as the East–West Highway and Kathmandu–Terai/Madhesh Expressway. The government also plans to blacktop around 1,000 km of roads and construct 275 bridges.

The numbers are big. The real question is: how effectively will this money be spent, and what will ordinary Nepalis actually get in return?

📌 Figures based on the FY 2083/84 Budget and government budget documents.
Percentages and figures are rounded where necessary.

Former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal (Prachanda) had previously raised the issue of compensation for climate change-related losses and damages at the United Nations, particularly highlighting the risks faced by vulnerable and mountainous countries like Nepal. As Nepal continues to face climate-related disasters, the issue of climate justice and compensation remains an important agenda for the country.
