The workshop ends here, but the journey of transforming medical education continues.

The Faculty Development Workshop (22–24 July 2026) has come to a successful conclusion, bringing together 40 passionate faculty members from Kathmandu University School of Medical Sciences (KUSMS), affiliated colleges, and other institutions.
Every lesson shared, every question asked, and every connection made during these three days reinforces a simple truth: When we empower medical teachers, we transform healthcare.

We are proud to share that Ms. Prabha Shrestha, Assistant Professor of Medical-Surgical Nursing, recently attended and presented her research at the Alzheimer’s Association International Conference (AAIC) 2026 in London—one of the world's largest and most prestigious forums dedicated to dementia research, care, and advocacy.

Bringing together more than 12,000 scientists, clinicians, researchers, and advocates from around the world, AAIC serves as a global platform for advancing knowledge and innovation in Alzheimer's disease and dementia care. Ms. Shrestha's presentation on this international stage represents an important milestone and reflects KUSMS's growing contribution to dementia and brain health research, particularly in low-resource settings such as Nepal.
Beyond the scientific sessions, the conference provided valuable opportunities to strengthen existing professional relationships and foster new collaborations with researchers and institutions working at the intersection of dementia care, scientific discovery, and equitable health systems. Such global engagements play an important role in shaping future partnerships and advancing impactful research initiatives.

We are honoured to have been represented at this distinguished international conference and remains committed to advancing research, education, and innovation in healthy ageing, dementia prevention, and brain health equity in Nepal and beyond.
